- Mario Kart World for the Nintendo Switch 2 Get ready for the start in an open world! Everything is your race track! Screaming tires with 24 racers! A non-stop rally across the continent. Drive wherever you want!
- Unleash the stage in Mario Kart World, a brand new open-world experience. Tear across the interconnected tracks during Mario Kart races like you've never experienced them before. Up to 24 racers can compete at the same time. Take part in Knockout rallies, in which you drive through circuits in one stretch and pass checkpoints without making pit stops. Players who are too far behind when they reach a checkpoint are out of the race. You can also drive around freely, leaving the track behind, exploring areas that you find interesting, and take pictures with friends in beautiful locations. Mario Kart World will race to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. For the first time in the series, Mario Kart World features an open world to drive around in which everything is connected, with cities, meadows, a desert and even the ocean. Races are held in the different regions of the world and take place with dynamic weather conditions and time changes from day to night. Get ready for the start and go for the first place in a grand prix or the new knockout rally mode, or drive freely around the different locations of the world at your leisure. The world is your race track and there's plenty to explore, on your own or with friends, locally*2 or online*3. And we're just on the starting line! • A world where everything is connected: drift, float and drive through an open world for the first time in a Mario Kart game. In Mario Kart World, the circuits are distributed around the world, and the roads to get from one circuit to another are already quite a race in itself. • Grand prix: Earn cups during the grand prix, racing on four different circuits, including the Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup and Star Cup, which take place in different regions of the world. And for the first time in the series, racers have to drive from one circuit to another as part of the grand prix. For example, in the Mushroom Cup you start at the Mario Bros. circuit, and then in the second race you will drive the route from the Mario Bros. circuit to Kroonstad. And when you have won all the grand-prix cups, a certain colorful circuit seems to appear. • Knockout Rally: Race from one corner of the world to another in non-stop racing. If you are too far behind a checkpoint, you're out of the race, so make sure you keep the momentum. And your rivals are not your only dangers on the road. In this position, also watch out for vehicles firing Bullet Bills, attacks by Hammer Bros. and other obstacles. You have to give everything to survive if you want to be first. • Driving around: outside the races there is plenty to discover in Mario Kart World. If you don't go for the first place, you can choose Ride around and take a pleasure trip. Explore scenic locations, leave the road behind, see the seas and find secrets like hidden coins, or hit P-switches for hundreds of missions that will let you put yourself to the test outside of races. While driving around, you can also take pictures, so take a fun pose and snap snaps at your favorite locations during your adventure. • Battle mode: Battles are back and more frantic than ever. Go for gold by collecting most coins in Coin Fight or use objects to pop opponents' balloons in Balloon Fight. Players really need to be careful not to lose all of their balloons, because this time that means they're right out of the battle. • New techniques: jump over obstacles and achieve other benefits with the new charging jump. Use the charging jump to slide over railings, dodge opponent attacks, and even jump into a wall to briefly drive past them. You can also jump from wall to wall to reach hidden routes. Did you miss a trick during a race against the computer or when you play around on your own? You can simply rewind to bring your vehicle back to an earlier location, which is useful for trying a trick again, but keep in mind that opponents continue to drive. So make sure you don't lose your edge. • 24 racers: Mario Kart World races can compete as many as 24 racers from all over the world, the largest number in the Mario Kart series. Standings such as grand prix and knockout rally can compete up to 24 players, allowing you to play with a lot of friends and have a lot of opponents during races. • Fun with anyone, wherever you want: Mario Kart World offers multiple ways to play together, whether locally or online. Up to four players can play together on the same system using a split screen. The game also supports local wireless play, where up to eight players (with up to two players per Nintendo Switch 2 system) can race together. And players from all over the world can race together online or have a fight. At Driving around you can also meet your friends anywhere in the world. Drive around and look at the map to see where your friends are and teleport directly to them. And then have a race or battle with your own rules or go exploring the world together. • More fun with GameChat: GameChat*4 makes playing Mario Kart World even more special. Use the Nintendo Switch 2's built-in microphone for voice chat with friends as you drive around or get carried away and watch other people's gaming screens. You can enjoy GameChat for free until March 31, 2026 during the GameChat welcome promotion. After that, a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required. • CameraPlay: If you have a Nintendo Switch 2 camera (sold separately)*5, your face appears next to your racer, and you can see your friends' reactions as you play online. If you play locally with family or friends on the same system, a single camera can detect four faces, which you can see in the game. • Circuits: In the big world of Mario Kart World there are many races to do. Tear around new circuits like the Mario Bros. Circuit, across the modern streets of Kroonstad, past the snowy peaks of Rosalina's Observatory, through the witty halls of Boo-Cinema, to name a few. Circuits returning from previous Mario Kart games have new designs to fit into the big open world, giving you a fresh look at nostalgic classics. • Characters: Get behind the wheel with well-known characters of the Mushroom Kingdom, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser. Are you looking for a racer who hasn't been in the spotlight so often? Take a ride with Goomba, Spike and even the cow. • Objects: Take action on the track with new and returning objects. Throw a coin shield to show up a trail of coins that will make you drive faster for a moment when you pick them up. Freeze opponents (and let them spin around) with an ice flower. Hit your hit and hit opponents with a rain of hammers that also block the road. Use a mega mushroom to get big and drive opponents flat. Jump to new heights with the spring. Use Kamek's magic to turn opponents into something surprising and create chaos on the track. The lower your position, the more likely you will get an object that will help you move forward, so make sure you use your items properly. • Takeout and Change: Stop by a Yoshi's restaurant for a local delicacy: a sprint snack! These takeaway foods give you a temporary turbo and you can also unlock an outfit with it, which you can then select from the character selection screen. There are all kinds of meals and outfits to be found, so be sure to pick them up as you navigate the world of Mario Kart World • Even more stands: whether you want to race or fight, there are even more ways to compete in Mario Kart World. Race against the clock in a time race, in which players can race against ghosts from their best times or against those of other players worldwide by downloading their data. And in a versus race, you can choose custom rules, such as whether there are races in two, three or four teams, with the classic three rounds per circuit or with the trajectories between the circuits. • Useful assistance functions: Are you looking for some help with racing? There are options such as steering aid to keep you on the track, automatic acceleration, and motion control, which you can turn on or off whenever you want. In addition, you can use a Joy-Con 2 handlebar (sold separately in a set of two) to feel like you're really driving!

If you've been putting off this purchase, Nintendo Mario Kart World (NL Versie) is a low-regret place to start. Best for households that value getting it right once over chasing the latest release.
Amazon's listing is thin on detail here, which is common for accessories; the thing to verify is simply that the connector and length match your kit.
It's the kind of accessory you buy once and forget about, which is exactly the point. Reliable, unfussy, and priced where most European households actually shop.
